Mark Mensing

B. Com. (University of British Columbia) – President & CEO of CEC Mining Systems Corp. & Canada Export Centre Corp. (Canada)

Co-founded the Canada Export Centre in 2004 and became CEO in July of 2005. In February of 2009, Mr. Mensing assumed the role of President and CEO of CEC. Spoken on the topic of International Trade and IP protection to audiences across Canada, been profiled on CBC Radio and other business radio stations. CEC has been profiled in EDC’s Exportwise magazine, DFAIT’s Canadexport Magazine as well as several business journals in Canada and overseas. Advised on international trade arbitration issues with several Federal and Provincial government bodies. In 2008 Mr. Mensing was recognized as one of Vancouver’s Top 40 under 40.

A serial entrepreneur, having founded +10 companies or joint-ventures, CEC has also incubated, staffed and spun-out several subsidiary companies in the industrial and/or natural resource sector including: 1) CEC Mining Systems Corp., 2) CEC Performance Materials Corp. and 3) CEC Rare Earth Corp. (whose assets were recently acquired by Canada Rare Earth, TSX.V – LL in an initial public offering). Strong financial resources and background has allowed to focus primarily on financing companies in their early growth stages, particularly in the forestry and mining services sectors.
